The DOE functions with full autonomy to enforce the Environmental Protection Act which grants broad regulatory and enforcement authority for the prevention and control of environmental pollution, conservation and management of natural resources in Belize.
We endeavor to be leaders in environmental stewardship for sustainable development both national and regional, and remain diligent in our mission to ensure that Belize’s development is sound through effective environmental management for present and future generations.
